I love bye-week. It gives us a chance to evaluate where we've been and where we're going. If you think about it hard enough, the vikings are probably the best team in the NFC north (?). Obviously they should have beat the bears, but they've also lost 3 really close road games that we had chances to win, blew a huge lead to the colts (the other best team in the league), and have generally just been poor about penalties and giveaways (the 2 easiest things to fix). So basically, the vikings are right where they want to be--coming from behind. Crappy fans of teams like the bears will write them off, but they actually have a solid running game and old and awesome QB who has everything to prove.
So if we are less stupid after this week, that'll be just fine. I'm going to go out on a limb here and call a 10-6 season because let's face it, the vikings have completely underachieved at this point and still have 3 wins and some close calls.
Peace be with the vikings

first blogz everz
Dear Vikings faithful,
I feel like the last game was a stepping stone. I know we went to 2-4 or something but we've now played the 6 best teams in the league and we've won 2. So I think we're going to finish 12-4 at worst. But back to the stepping stone. The bears suck really really bad, but apparently have better coaching as ronny turner is the best guy around and our coach (?) is dogshit. I mean I love the guy but he's just not getting the job done. Anyway, the bears we're a stepping stone because we were so awful and only lost by 7 to the most average team in the league with the best defense. I think we scored 41 points against the best defense. That's why I'm talking about the stepping stone.
When we step on the field in two weeks, I feel as though our stepping stone will grow to a stepping boulder. Our desire to stay in games and ability to move the ball when it counts gives us an edge. I'm both optimistic and so worried at the same time that Gus F. will take the week off to spend some time by his stream, fishing and relaxing. I hear this is where he goes to find solace and comfort and peace in both himself and his team.
Vikings roll!
Thank you
